I’m heading off to Kernowfornia Festival!

I’m really excited to head down to Cornwall for a long weekend photographing at Kernowfornia Festival on East Looe Beach—what a line-up! The headliners are amazing: Marillion, Nick Mulvey, and Jordan Rakei.

Beyond that, I’m especially looking forward to catching Embrace, Villagers, The Magic Numbers, Lucy Rose, Newton Faulkner, Matthew & The Atlas, Rachel Sermanni and Sunset Sons. Not forgetting an old familiar face R.D Thomas who used to front Brother and Bones, a band I watched and photographed many times over the years before their separation a few years back.

It’ll be great shooting across genres—from indie and folk to rock—and capturing that beach festival vibe, waves, sunsets, the crowds, and those candid moments I'm always looking out for. Playlists, lights, late-nights and memories in the making.

It'll be great being back in Looe after I spent 6 or 7 years shooting on the media team for Looe Music Festival - LMF bought the likes of The Stranglers, Levellers, The Darkness, Reef, Seth Lakeman, The Damned, Sham 69, Chas & Dave, Frank Turner, Brand New Heavies, Johnny Marr, Jools Holland and the Rhythm & Blues Orchestra, The Proclaimers, Fun Lovin’ Criminals, Wilko Johnson, Alabama 3, Happy Mondays, Lulu, The Jesus and Mary Chain and Cast. Loads of great acts to shoot!

I hope Kernowfornia will carry right on from where LMF stopped, and bring some great acts to the cornish shore for years to come!

Back soon, Will
