Want to know what it was like to DJ in the 90's in NYC?
I was lucky enough to shoot the photography for the marketing campaign of Mark Ronson’s new book Night People. Best known for his work as a Grammy and Oscar-winning producer, DJ and songwriter, Mark has shaped modern music with collaborations ranging from Amy Winehouse and Lady Gaga to Bruno Mars and Miley Cyrus. His influence on pop, soul and dance culture has been huge, and with Night People he brings that same creative voice into writing.
Being involved in book launches and cultural projects is always a privilege, and this one was especially exciting. My goal was to create visuals that captured both the energy of the book and the spirit of an artist who has left such a mark on global music. Seeing the campaign come to life as Night People debuts has been a real pleasure.
The inclusion of a vinyl and slip mat in the launch was a great touch by the publisher (Penguin Random House)
