When it comes down to it, this isn’t really about me at all — this is your day, after all. But choosing a wedding photographer means choosing someone you’ll spend a surprising amount of your wedding day with, so it’s probably worth knowing a little about who’s turning up with the camera.

The truth is, I'm much better at telling stories with photographs than I am writing about myself (otherwise I’d be a writer, like my wife).

I could tell you I love spending time with my wife and son, travelling, live music and all the usual things people put in an "about me" section. Which, for the record, is all true.

But I don't think that really tells you much about me.

So instead, here's a little bucket list...

(In no particular order.)

• Buy a classic VW Beetle.

• Build a fully equipped photo studio in my garden.

• Explore the Caribbean in search of the perfect rum.

• Retire by the sea (the Cornish coast has my vote).

• See the Northern Lights.

• Learn to surf. (A recent addition, so don't ask me how it's going.)

• Take an adventure trip across the US.

• Own a campervan and spend weekends disappearing somewhere new.

• Own a walk-in wardrobe that's almost entirely trainers.
